Within its range of activities Screen Cultures takes a broad approach to film, TV and screen research, with one established area of activity focusing on representations of gender, sexuality and masculine identity across mainstream and marginal screen media. Other established areas of cluster research include the analysis of audience and fan groupings across film, TV and online formats, as well as considerations of how cult media and subcultural practices can be analysed using a range of differing theoretical and production methodologies.
