Nick Webber

Associate Professor


Nick Webber joined the University in 2008, after working in research development at the University of Birmingham. He has held his current post since 2016, and is co-lead of BCMCR’s Game Cultures and History, Heritage and Archives research clusters. His research focuses on (video)games, cultural history and identity, and his current projects explore the historical practices of player and fan communities, and the concept of the culturally ‘British’ video game. Nick holds a PhD in Medieval History from the University of Birmingham.
