Nick Webber
Professor of Game Studies
Nick Webber is Professor of Game Studies at BCU, and co-convenor of the Historical Games Network. His research focuses on (video)games, cultural history and identity, with recent work exploring the historical practices of player and fan communities, the impact of games and virtual worlds on our understanding of the past, and the relationship between national cultural policy and video games. He is co-lead of BCMCR’s Game Cultures research cluster, and holds a PhD in Medieval History from the University of Birmingham.
