Vincent Obia is a Commonwealth Scholar and PhD Researcher of Media at Birmingham City University. His PhD explores the regulation of social media in Nigeria, and he is interested in wider debates on new media governance, Twitter activism, and the politics of social media regulation. He is Co-Editor of the Makings Journal and is the immediate past Lead Communication Officer for the Postgraduate Network of the Media, Communication and Cultural Studies Association in the UK (MeCCSA-PGN).
