Tim Wall is Professor of Radio and Popular Music Studies. He has published extensively in international journals and books, and he applies his insights into exrenal engagement, teaching and doctoral supervision. He has led five major collaborative research projects, including citizen journalism in the Arab region, was formerly an AHRC Knowledge Transfer Fellow, and has worked with the BBC as well as a range of smaller radio and music businesses. His books have become widely used in universities across the world. He is a AHRC Strategic Peer Reviewer, a Trustee of the National Jazz Archive and is a member of the editroial broads for Radio JournalJazz Research Journal and Popular Music Matters

His co-edited book, The Northern Soul Scene was recently published by Equinox, and he is currently writing the history of Jazz on BBC Radio 1922 to 1972 for Equinox, and co-editing a book Rethinking Miles Davis for OUP.
