Reuben graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA in English Language and Literature in 2016, since then he has devoted time to the video games industry as a journalist and features writer before returning to study an MA in Media and Cultural Studies at Birmingham City University in 2020. Following this he began his PhD, looking at the online spaces of the furry fandom as safe spaces for the participants to explore their identity, as well as continuing to pursue his interests in video game studies.
