Nathan Glasgow

MA Researcher


Nathan graduated from the University of Lincoln with a BA in Journalism, Media, Culture and Communication in 2009.  He went on to work in the video games industry as a Quality Assurance Tester before returning to study at Nottingham Trent University to complete a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Post Compulsory Education and training in 2015, working as a Media Production and Videogame Development lecturer in a college until August 2020. At Birmingham City University, he is studying an MA in Media and Cultural Studies and his research is focused on representation in horror film and tv, and areas of videogame studies such as piracy and archiving practices, representations of women and LGBTQ+ people in gaming, and fandom studies with an upcoming project on the Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary celebration.
